For a number of years I worked on establishing my doe herd, looking for consistency in mammary, breed characteristics and personality. Primarily because I keep a small herd and I want to love milking them. Now, with the doe herd in place I selected Magnum to bring specific improvements in the next generation. Fern is one of those goats that moves and presents herself so elegantly, which is exciting because her dam does too and I'm hoping this is a quality that will carry on through the generations. Super excited about her mammary. Her dam is the first daughter I have freshened out of my foundation doe Sonflower Ranch Aspen. All my first fresheners in 2022 had very nice udders, but Willow's has the extra+ features such as the the super butter soft, pliable texture and large orifices that make her not only easy to milk but enjoyable. I'm so thankful and finding myself unable to part with Fern!
